The Terra Nova Ministries Team
Michael J. Craft
Two words would describe me: passion and teaching. When I put my mind to something, I go for it! I usually do things “outside-the-box” or better yet, I love to “color outside the lines”. Just because someone has done something one way doesn’t mean that it will work for everyone. I find new and creative ways to communicate Jesus’ ways to a world that desperately needs Him and I do that by teaching those outside the church and attempting to pass on to others that there is always another way of doing things.
I am one of the founders, president and pastors of Terra Nova Ministries, Inc. A small group of people who are passionate for Jesus who love to minister outside of the church based out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
I’m a licensed minister who loves teaching and telling stories in a “outside-of-the-box” type of style. I have taught in parts of Canada, the Philippines, parts of the United States and in Las Vegas, Nevada where I currently reside.
In the early eighties I was a part of an international Christian theatre group called Covenant Players that traveled in the U.S. and Canada. After that I directed many church-based theatrical productions and drama workshops involving young people and adults.
I taught teams of people in church missions programs to perform pantomimes to take to other countries to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I was also involved in a myriad of prison ministries for over 7 years. I ministered at four prisons–was a part of Prison Fellowship and the Vineyard Fourfold Prison Ministry. I taught Life Skill and Recovery seminars with Prison Fellowship and preached with the Vineyard.
I was a children’s pastor for four years at the Vineyard North of Las Vegas.
For the past 11 years I have been ministering at Harris Springs Ranch, a Westcare rehabilitation facility in the mountains of Las Vegas. I use a unique blend of creative teaching methods in presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ. I teach Christian principles to recovering addicts using my drama background to enhance those teachings.
I am available to preach, teach, tell stories, teach seminars/conferences. I even do drama workshops!

I am one of the founders and pastors of Terra Nova Ministries, Inc. I am a licensed minister. I bring 30 plus years of worship leading experience to the team. My background has deep roots in music and the love of singing. I have had the pleasure of learning from many Christian backgrounds of music and have developed a style that God has led me into. My desire is to teach others how to “do the stuff” as the late John Wimber used to say. I desire that others catch the zeal to delve into total submission and surrender of one’s self in worship.
I was raised in a musical home. My father loved music and desired that his children also love it. He loved to play his harmonica while we would sit around his feet. He would challenge us after playing a piece, “what was that I just played?” and we would try to guess. He loved the old love songs and the songs of the church. Being from Ohio, his favorite song to play on the harmonica was “Beautiful Ohio”. As soon as I was able to play, I started piano lessons. We had an old upright in our living room. When I entered 4th grade, I was allowed to enroll in the school orchestra. I chose the flute, but my father put a quick stop on that. He loved the strings, as his father and grandfather played violin in Germany. So, I was given the choice of violin, viola, or cello. I took the viola. I continued to play viola through grade school, junior high, and into high school. I played in the high school orchestra as well as ensemble groups. I even lettered in orchestra! I continued to play strings, picking up the guitar at age 13 and was also in several vocal groups and trios that went to state competitions. I continued to play viola in community orchestras after graduating from college, but my real love has been the guitar. There is something about the way the guitar becomes a part of me, that I cannot explain but dearly love. Add to that the deep love I have for my Lord Jesus, and there is such a connection that swells up in me that sometimes I feel I cannot contain it all! I hear such tremendous symphonies in my head as I play worship songs. I wish that others could hear what I hear! I will continue to pursue leading others to that place!

I have been serving God for more than 18 years and am one of the founders of Terra Nova Ministries. I am a licensed minister. My main ministry is counseling those lost to the weight of this fallen world. People overwhelmed by emotional problems and addictions. I received my Masters in Social Work in 1979 and am licensed to provide Clinical Social Work here in Nevada and in Michigan and am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
God has provided opportunities for me to be a member of healing and intercessory prayer teams in Michigan and Nevada, preaching & teaching in various settings, leading Bible studies, feeding the homeless on the streets of Detroit & Las Vegas, and as one of the pastors of Terra Nova Ministries ministering to the men at WestCare’s Harris Springs Ranch in Nevada. I can’t wait to see what God’s gonna do next!

I am the Women's Ministry Director for Terra Nova Ministries.Seventeen years ago, The Lord took a hold of my heart. For fifteen years I served in children’s ministry; playing my guitar, and leading worship with the little ones, doing skits, and leading small groups. I was privileged for several years to work in a Christian preschool as the assistant director, and drama/music teacher. Our kindergarten and first grade classes preformed two plays a year under my directorship.
In January of 2009, God moved my heart from children’s ministry to women’s ministry. I started my first ladies study that following May. My vision is to create a safe, and nurturing environment where women can grow in their relationship with God, and with each other; to help facilitate mentoring amongst women, and equip them to bring God glory. I have used this same vision to plan and lead ladies retreats. Allowing other women the opportunity to use the gifts and talents God has given them is a key component to leading woman’s ministry.
I have a passion for teaching out of what God is doing in my life. Being transparent, and opening my heart to the women God has placed in my audience allows them to identify with my message and knock down barriers around their hearts so that they can grow spiritually.
I’ve written short stories, and three novel length inspirational Christian pieces of fiction. Recently God has urged me to write about my recent time in the dessert, a resource book for women going through difficult times. I have a blog that is meant to inspire, encourage, and reach out to women on their journey.
Music has always stirred my soul, and brought me into a closer relationship with God. It is my goal as a worship leader to bring women into the throne room, to forget about themselves and all insecurities, and pour their hearts out in worship and adoration of their God. I want them to feel the security of God’s love for them when they worship so that they surrender all that they are in humility and thanksgiving.
From writing to teaching to worshiping, it is my delight to use these gifts and talents to help women on their journey into a deeper more meaningful relationship with God. I wait with great anticipation for what God’s going to do next on my own journey.
